 Fresh Paint
We
hauled out recently for some scheduled maintenance. Knight and
Carver Yacht Center in National City did the work, on schedule, and
worked with us to get the boat back into the water in plenty of time
for a big charter.
We had some oil changed in the sail-drive (propeller area) and had the
bottom of the boat repainted. Mark, Steve & Chad rebuilt a
cradle that we bought from another boat to fit USA-11, and it worked
out great.

 DISABLED VETERANS SAIL USA-11
The first National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic,
sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs, was held in last
October in San Diego. We provided daily sailing excursions from
the Marriott Marina for recently injured veterans. For most of
these participants, this was their first sporting activity since their
injury. USA-11 sailed everyday giving these vets the chance to
experience the thrill of being on an America's Cup yacht.
